Mr. John Garrett, General Manager and Group Chief Compliance Officer, joined the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) in October 2005.

Mr. Garrett has over 37 years banking experience with a number of international and Middle Eastern banks. Before joining NBAD, he was for 20 years responsible for the internal audit function in a UK investment bank, National Bank of Oman in Muscat and Saudi Hollandi Bank in Riyadh.

Mr. Garrett is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK) and a Certified Informational System Auditor.

He holds a degree from Durham University in the UK. He was born in 1951.
