Mr. Qamber Ali Al Mulla’s career with National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) spans a period of over 25 years.
His many roles at NBAD included retail and branch operations in the Northern Emirates where he handled Foreign Exchange, Current Accounts, PILs, TFO; Audit and Compliance (Financial Auditor); Credit and Marketing, Assistant Vice President of Abu Dhabi International Bank; manager of NBAD branch in Washington, D.C., USA, and Area Manager of the NBAD’s International Banking Divisin (IBD).
In 1996, Mr Al Mulla became the Deputy Head of IBD and then its Assistant General Manager/Head of International Banking in 1998 to oversee the Bank’s international network of branches in addition to the locally-based lending unit and the Bank’s global correspondent relationships.
In April 2005, he was appointed General Manager of IBD and in July 2007 was made the Senior General Manager of the Division.
IBD currently comprises of operations in 11 countries: Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jorand, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, France, the United Kingdom , USA, and Hong Kong.
Mr. Al Mulla holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He is married with five children and a is keen chess player in addition to his love for outdoor sports and travel.
