| Global Financial Markets Workshop 2010 |
| |
|
In the context of the continuously evolving and challenging nature of global financial markets, National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) remains committed to its key investors and clients.
|
| |
| To this end and to further develop our collective skill sets, it gives us great pleasure to announce that NBAD will host its second Global Financial Markets Workshop (GFMW) in Abu Dhabi from April 5th to 12th. The event will be held at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr. |
| |
| Last year, the first GFMW held at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, was a major success with participation from over 70 delegates from the region representing insurance companies, commercial and private entities, central banks from the MENA region, and quasi-sovereign and sovereign wealth funds. |
| |
| For this year’s event NBAD has added a seminar to focus on Islamic financial institutions to offer greater scope in terms of both the number of participants and the nature of the workshops. |
| |
The 2010 GFMW will cover presentations on the UAE macroeconomic story by NBAD's Chief Economist, the UAE credit markets by NBAD's Head of Credit Research, and panel discussions with senior officials from high profile UAE entities. Furthermore there will be tutorials and workshops by Bloomberg and Reuters whereby delegates will be trained in two simulated dealing rooms using practical exercises and case studies. The aim is to provide delegates with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the latest financial markets tools and systems from experts and get the chance to put theory into practice. |
