NBAD commenced business in Sudan with the establishment of its Khartoum Branch in 1976. The branch provides a full range of retail, commercial, and treasury banking services, with a focus on financing top tier Sudanese corporations and multinational companies, serving the Sudanese community working in GCC countries, and targeting UAE individuals and corporations with business in Sudan.

To implement its strategy for Sudan, NBAD established a Regional Office in Sudan in March 2007, which in turn established “Khartoum North Cash Office” in November 2007 and Amarat Branch in 2008 to be followed by opening of additional branches and cash offices designed to meet increasing demand for NBAD’s quality services in Sudan.
