NBAD upgrades its channels and customer touch points

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has embarked on a journey of upgrading all its channels and customer touch points which includes branches, website, online banking, mobile banking and ATMs.

After opening NBAD Al Ittihad and Al Bateen branches in February and March, April will mark the reopening of Al Shahama Branch, Madinat Zayed Tower and Between Two Bridges (BTB) with a plan for further branch renovations across the network.

“We aim to build the largest, safest and best performing bank first in the UAE, and over time in the GCC. Keeping in mind our customers’ needs, we recognised that technology is rapidly changing the way customers interact with us,” said Alex Thursby, Group Chief Executive Officer of NBAD. “With this in mind, we are upgrading not only our branches but all our consumer touch points aiming to offer the best possible access to our customers regardless of which channel they prefer.”

“We have recently launched the new and interactive NBAD website. We will soon launch the Mobile Banking Application followed by an upgrade of our ATMs and online banking. It is a meticulous strategy to offer a world- class, market leading and consistently excellent customer experience to our valued customers,” Mr. Thursby concluded.

The first phase of the renovations will include 26 branches and cash offices serving more than 100,000 NBAD customers across the UAE and is targeted for completion by the end of April 2015.

“Today, NBAD has unveiled concepts that personify the future of consumer banking to make branch visits more pleasant and convenient,” said Abdulla Bin Khalaf Al Otaiba, Senior Managing Director and Group Head of Global Retail & Commercial. “We are renovating our branches and cash offices to reflect changing customer requirements for more value added services. We need to do more than providing vanilla transaction services to our customers-like offering advice on how to meet their financial objectives or assisting them with access to the broader range of services we provide. We want our customers to see our branches as welcoming and to make their visits a value adding experience.”
